Sam Neuberg
Founder
Born in Poland, Sam Neuberg moved to the United States in 1954 where he began his career in the gold industry working as a foreman for a lamp company. The company not only gilded lamps, but everything from coffee tables to headboards.  At the time, composition gold leaf was very popular and Sam began to notice at the end of each project the company would be completely out of gold and needed to reorder from their European supplier.
Before coming to the US, Sam had lived in a German town where gold was manufactured so he was familiar with the production process. Since he always dreamed of owning a business he decided to import gold into the United States and began selling it to the lamp company.
Although his knowledge was somewhat limited at first, Sam is highly intelligent and promptly learned the tricks of the trade.  He was extremely cautious, determined and made sound business decisions ensuring his company was successful and longstanding. He knew by concentrating on product quality, punctuality and excellent customer service, success would almost be guaranteed.  His company’s slogan became “We ship the same day, no later than 24 hours”.  As his customer list grew, the Neuberg name became well-respected and a trusted authority in the gold industry.
One of Sam’s major contributions to the gold industry world-wide was the invention of Wunda Size, a patented adhesive that permits easy application of genuine and composition metal leaf, allowing for quicker mass production without compromising quality on the final product.  This invention made it possible to put the use of gold leaf on a larger scale.  Plus, Sam made sure it was affordable enough for the general public to use. To date, Easy Leaf Products, a division of Neuberg & Neuberg Importers Group, Inc., is the only company to produce such a high-quality adhesive of this nature.
Today, Sam still oversees the daily operations of the company and is a crucial part of its continued accomplishments.  However, with all of the company’s triumphs over the years, Sam cites one of his biggest achievements as teaching his son, Larry, the business and naming him President in 2005.  Family is extremely important to Sam and being able to teach the trade to his son and pass the company down to him is the ultimate definition of success.
